Hello and thanks for being here, I’m Shauna. As a child, you could find me running barefoot through the yard, plucking wildflowers, or crafting poems and songs in my collection of scribbled-on notebooks. I fell in love with the art of photography during my middle and high school years. Ripping out images from Vogue magazine and my mother’s gardening books (sorry, Mom) and plastering collages all over my walls, unknowingly sharpening my sense of composition.
By high school, I volunteered my friends for various photoshoot concepts inspired by my imagination (some more open to my artistic direction than others). After graduation, my passion for photography guided me to explore different art forms in school, such as drawing, graphic design, sculpting, written word, bookmaking, etc.
In recent years of rediscovering myself (as one does in their thirties) I’ve realized it’s as simple as this:
I am incredibly sensitive to beautiful things.
I believe beauty exists in all areas of life, waiting for those who are willing to see it. My goal is to nurture a creative vision through various avenues, all while honoring each craft along the way. If this resonates with you, I would love to connect!
